Apple Pierogis and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 1 apple, peeled & sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 12 pierogis
  • ¼ cup veggie broth
  • salt & pepper

Steps

  1. In large skillet, melt butter and sauté onions till translucent.
  2. Add pierogis and sauté till golden brown.
  3. If sticking to the bottom, use spatula to flip.
  4. Add broth, cabbage, apple and salt & pepper
  5. Stir and cover, cook for about 5-10 min. til cabbage soft, stirring occasionally gently.
  6. Serve sour cream to dip
