Ingredients
- 8 oz. Cremini mushrooms (Baby Portobello), sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp. steak sauce
- 1.5 lbs. fresh green beans
- 1.5 tbsp. flour
- 3 tbsp. butter
- ¼ tsp. celery seed
- ¼ tsp. onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1.5 cup milk or half and half
- 1 small can French’s Fried Onions
Steps
- Cut beans in 2 inch pieces.
- Boil or steams beans till al dente. Drain and let cool.
- Melt 2 tbsp. butter on med high in skillet.
- Add mushrooms and steak sauce. Stir and sauté till brown.
- Turn down heat to low. Add flour to mushrooms to coat. Add 3 tbsp. butter, celery seed, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
- Stir to melt butter, add milk and simmer till thickened.
- Mix with beans and spread in 9” x12” buttered baking pan.
- Sprinkle French fried onions over the top.
- Bake uncovered in 350 deg. oven for 30 min.
