Pepper Blackening Seasoning


  • 1 tbsp. sweet paprika
  • 2 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground red pepper
  • ¾ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme leaves
  • ½ tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar


  1. Mix all ingredients and store in a jar with lid.
  2. Mix may cake up a little due to the brown sugar, just shake jar before using.
  3. Use as general seasoning on all meats, poultry and fish before grilling or searing. Also use on veggies to give a little kick.

Serves: Makes about ¼ cup
