Apple Savory Crab Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped fine
  • 6 oz. crab & tsp lemon juice
  • 1 ½ tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • dash of paprika
  • salt & pepper
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 pastry recipe for 1 pie crust
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter to drizzle

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375 deg.
  2. Melt butter in med skillet on med heat.
  3. Sauté apple & onion in butter till onion is translucent and soft.
  4. Add crab & seasonings and cook to heat.
  5. Add heavy cream & mix well, remove from heat.
  6. Roll out pastry to ¼ inch thick. Cut out biscuit size discs and press into muffin tin or ramekins in shape of a tart.
  7. Fill with spoonful of crab mixture.
  8. Drizzle with butter over top of tarts.
  9. Bake for 15-20 min. until golden brown.
